Welcome to Arnside Ramblers

We have walked together for almost 50 years in the Lakes, Dales and AONB. Our membership is drawn from the villages of Arnside, Milnthorpe, Silverdale, Storth, Warton and the Yealands.

Our four sections cater for walkers of all abilities and we are always happy to welcome new members.We are all volunteers and groups rely heavily upon the willingness of members to lead our walks. Membership currently costs just £5 a year. Our walks are midweek.

Amblers  offer a walk every Tuesday from 4 to 6 miles and up to 800feet of ascent and Amblers B offer shorter walks twice a month on Thursdays of not more than four miles....plus a coffee and catch up at a local cafe or pub at regular intervals. Details  are emailed to members prior to the walks.                   

Ramblers meet at the WI Hall in Arnside at 9.15am each week and walk between 6 and 9 miles. They climb 500 - 3000 feet. Walks alternate between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Scramblers meet at the WI Hall at 8.00am once a fortnight and walk between 8 and 12 miles. They climb  2000 - 4000 feet. They also walk Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
